XVX Reviews: How HLPLANET Rates XVX Keyboards, Keycaps and Switches

XVX is a keyboard brand that sells keyboards, keycap sets, switches and cables through its official XVX Channel store. HLPLANET (hlplanet.com) has reviewed seven XVX products: three keyboards, three keycap sets and the Whisper switch. As of October 2026 every review is positive, with design and RGB lighting as recurring highlights.

What does XVX make?

XVX focuses on enthusiast keyboard gear with bold styling. The seven products HLPLANET has reviewed, all by writer Snimtas between July and October 2026, are:

• Trooper63 HE: 63% Hall Effect keyboard with an open-frame aluminium case
• MU68: 65% wireless keyboard in a solid walnut case
• L75 Air: wireless low-profile 75% keyboard
• Venom V2: metal-look OEM-profile keycaps
• Holy Beasts White Tiger: frosted keycaps with aluminium artisans
• Year of the Horse: alumina ceramic keycaps
• Whisper: silent tactile hybrid magnetic and EC switch

The L75 Air review also credits XVX with pioneering IMD keycap manufacturing.

Which XVX keyboards has HLPLANET reviewed?

Three, and all are recommended with the same small complaint: none ships with a dust cover.

XVX Trooper63 HE review

The XVX Trooper63 HE review says the board does a lot of things right and is worth considering for RGB-focused buyers.

• Pros: dual-LED RGB per switch, pleasant thocky acoustics, smooth Gemini HE magnetic switches, KS-20 compatible hot-swap, Rapid Trigger, four SOCD modes, GH60-compatible case and PCB.
• Cons: 1000 Hz polling, no dust cover.
• Suits: RGB fans and modders who want a 63% layout with arrow keys; not players chasing top polling rates.

XVX MU68 review

The XVX MU68 review calls it a genuinely compelling choice for a warmer desk look without sacrificing build quality.

• Pros: solid walnut case with a gold aluminium accent, VIA support in the browser, dye-sub PBT keycaps, smooth Coral Sea linear switches, tri-mode connection with no dropouts, about two weeks of battery with lighting off.
• Cons: no dust cover.
• Suits: anyone who wants a wooden keyboard, which the review notes is rare on the market.

XVX L75 Air review

The L75 Air costs $89.99, and HLPLANET calls it a compelling option for a portable low-profile keyboard.

• Pros: VIA remapping, bright RGB, IMD shine-through keycaps, physical connection switch, light strips that double as indicators, aluminium case at about 620 g.
• Cons: no dust cover, niche low-profile switch ecosystem.
• Suits: travellers and touch typists who want separated key groups.

Are XVX keycaps good?

Yes. HLPLANET reviewed three sets and praises consistent manufacturing, sharp legends and strong RGB diffusion. None support ISO layouts.

XVX Venom V2

The 120-key set costs $90 and the 61-key set $60. HLPLANET calls it one of the most unusual-looking sets the reviewer has seen, comfortable to type on and far from the most expensive. Downsides: a loud look, a basic puller, no ISO.

XVX Holy Beasts White Tiger

The full set costs $59.99, combining a 127-key PC base kit ($28.99) and seven aluminium artisans ($39.99). The review says there is not much to complain about at the price. Watch for heavy aluminium keys and tight artisan stems.

XVX Year of the Horse ceramic keycaps

The XVX Year of the Horse ceramic keycaps review carries an Editor's Choice badge. HLPLANET calls the set easy to recommend for anyone trying ceramic for the first time, praising the deep sound, RGB glow and a rare 2U Shift for 63% boards. Ceramic is heavy, so the reviewer suggests springs of around 45 gf or more.

XVX Whisper switch review: are magnetic tactile switches worth it?

Yes, according to HLPLANET. The XVX Whisper switch review awards an Editor's Choice badge and scores Overall Feel, Sound and Stem Wobble 10/10, with Smoothness 9/10 and Lighting Diffusion 9.5/10.

• What it is: a silent tactile switch that works on KS-20-compatible magnetic boards such as the IQUNIX EV63 and Wooting keyboards, and on some EC boards.
• Feel: a Topre-like bump without high force; actuation is adjustable on Hall Effect and TMR boards.
• Price: $35 for 35 switches, $50 for 70, $70 for 105.
• Downside: one box at about $1 per switch is on the high side.

Is there an XVX discount code?

Yes. The Trooper63 HE, Venom V2 and White Tiger reviews state that the code HLPLANET gives 10% off at the official XVX store.

Which XVX product should you buy?

• Hall Effect gaming with RGB: Trooper63 HE.
• Wooden, office-friendly board: MU68.
• Portable low-profile: L75 Air.
• Quiet tactile switches for a magnetic board: Whisper.
• First ceramic keycaps: Year of the Horse.
• Bold RGB keycaps: Venom V2 or White Tiger.

Key takeaways

• HLPLANET has reviewed seven XVX products and recommends all of them, as of October 2026.
• The Whisper switch and Year of the Horse ceramic keycaps carry Editor's Choice badges.
• XVX stands out for design and lighting rather than top gaming specs; the Trooper63 HE polls at 1000 Hz.
• All three XVX keyboards lack a dust cover, the most repeated complaint.
• XVX keycap sets cover 60% to 100% layouts but not ISO.
