Developer Portal Management & Template Flow

We’ve completely reimagined the Developer Portal creation experience to simplify setup, minimize manual work, and provide greater control through pre-designed templates and management tools.

✨ New Developer Portal Dashboard Flow

  • Improved Landing Experience: Clicking "Developer Portal" now opens a dashboard page showcasing live portals, an overview of developer portal benefits, and a clear call to action.
  • Template Selection Modal: Choose from a library of pre-designed templates (light and dark modes), or start from scratch with a blank template.
  • Interactive Preview: Preview templates in desktop or mobile mode before selection.
  • Confirmation Screen: Once selected, users are guided to the editor or back to the dashboard.

  • Add New Page: Define a page name, slug, and select from templates.
  • Page Actions: Edit, duplicate, delete, go to editor, or view published version.
  • Global Settings: Control branding, dark mode, and logo display across all pages.

Footer Configuration for One Page Per Section Template

A new branding feature allows social media link customization in the footer for the One Page Per Section template.

  • Default Social Links: LinkedIn, GitHub, X (formerly Twitter).
  • Add/Edit/Delete Links: Users can manage and reorder links with drag-and-drop.
  • Icon Selection: Change icons using a dedicated modal.

Custom Menu Main Button Highlight

You can now designate a main button in your custom menu for better UX:

  • Mark any top-level item (not subitems) as the "main button" using a star icon.
  • Applies a highlighted background style in the published view.

Bug Fixes

Editor

  • Cannot Add Content Above a Table: Resolved issue where users couldn’t insert text above a table placed at the beginning of a page.
  • Header Sections Behavior: Header sections are now non-clickable, always expanded, and act as structural labels. The editor now loads the first subsection by default for better navigation.

Branding

Hyperlink Option Restored: A recent change inadvertently removed hyperlink support in branding. This has been restored to ensure continued flexibility in branding configuration.

Published View

Spacing Issue (Feedback Component Disabled): Fixed an issue where turning off the Feedback Component caused layout inconsistencies. Section spacing and dividers are now preserved.

API Versioning

Default Version Not Loading: Critical issue resolved where marking a version as default prevented it from loading. Default versions now load and display correctly.
