Iframe

If you want to embed custom widgets, external websites, or any third-party content into your documentation, you can easily do so using the Iframe Widget in the editor.

How to Use the Iframe Widget

  1. Open the Editor: Navigate to the section of the documentation where you'd like to embed the content.
  2. Add the Iframe Widget: Open the widget menu and select Iframe.
  3. Paste the Embed URL: Enter the URL of the content you want to embed (e.g., an external website, video, tool, or custom widget).
  4. Save: Click Save to apply the changes.

Once saved, the embedded content will be automatically displayed both in the editor and in the published view of your documentation.

Make sure the source you’re embedding allows iframe usage and doesn’t have restrictions which can block the content from being displayed.

Examples of Embedded Iframes

Below are a few examples to illustrate how different types of iframes will appear once embedded:

1. Website Embed

Displays a full website within your documentation.

2. Custom Widget or App

Ideal for analytics dashboards, calculators, or interactive tools.

3. Embed Theneo Documentation

Useful for embedding other Theneo documentation—such as user guides, product overviews, or API references—directly within your current Theneo documentation. This allows you to reference or reuse existing content seamlessly, without requiring users to navigate away.
