Email-Based Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

With 2FA, even if your password is compromised, your account remains protected through an additional layer of security.

1. Enabling 2FA in Workspace Settings (Admin Guide)

As a workspace admin, you can enforce 2FA across your workspace to ensure that all users are required to use this security feature.

Steps:

1. Navigate to Workspace Settings:

  1. Log in to your admin account and go to the workspace settings page.

2. Enable 2FA:

  1. Find the admin section within the settings.
  2. Toggle the "Two-Factor Authentication" option to enable it.

2. Signing In with 2FA (User Guide)

After setting up 2FA, you will need to complete the 2FA process every time you sign in.

Steps:

1. Login Prompt:

  1. Enter your username and password on the login page.
  2. 2FA Code Generation:
    • After submitting your login credentials, a one-time login code will be generated and sent to your registered email address.

2. Enter 2FA Code:

  1. Check your email for the code.
  2. Enter the code on the login page and click "Verify" to proceed.

3. Access Granted:

  1. If the code is valid and not expired, you will be granted access to your account.

Troubleshooting:

  • Code Expiration: If the code expires (after 10 minutes), request a new code by re-entering your username and password.
  • Incorrect Code: If the code is incorrect, try entering it again. Ensure there are no typos.

3. Managing 2FA Settings

If you need to manage your 2FA settings, such as updating your registered email address, you can do so within your account settings.

Steps:

1. Navigate to Account Settings:

  1. Log in and go to your account settings page.

2. Update Email Address:

  1. Under the “User Profile” section, find the option to update your registered email address.https://app.theneo.io/#

3. Save Changes:

  1. After updating your email, save the changes to ensure that future 2FA codes are sent to the correct address.
